We rode this trip during September 2023. We started with the Slovenia West Loop Bikepacking Route but soon realized that we wanted more offroad adventures. We switched on to mountain biking trails in the Julian Alps after that.
Slovenia and Triglav National park is a beautiful place and this route has lots of climbing in it. I would prefer a route that has more single trail and adventure options as this has a lot of gravel (even the MTB trails). If you want to do lots of climbing, enjoy beautiful nature and friendly people, just go for it!
