Eiffel - Day 2 - Hillesheim - Langscheid

This is the route we rode today:

We got started at 09:30 and of course a steep hill awaited us to get warmed up. We rode a couple of kilometres on a nice bike path before we went offroad.

But before our offroad adventures started we got to enjoy some nice views. The route today was really amazing and we rode through multiple really cool valleys.

We also had to cross two rivers today, luckily both of them not too deep.

After a while we started getting some sunshine, which was totally unexpected but really nice. We decided to take advantage of that moment to take a break.

Of course as soon as we got back on the bike we came across a bench 😂 Today we saw a lot of wild life: a black stork, a deer and a fox. I wasn’t able to get any pictures but I did manage to take a picture of a snail (they don’t run away that fast 😇)

A bit before noon we found a place to drink a cola and afterwards we made our own lunch at a bus stop.

The last 10 kilometres were pretty heavy. I wasn’t so tired as yesterday but we had multiple steep hills which were exhausting. We also had some issues with roads not showing up on the map.

After a last steep hill, we arrived at the hotel at 15:40. We ate an apple and checked in. There was no dinner provided but we found a place which was open untill 18:00 where we got dinner.

We played some games in the evening which were fun. Tomorrow will be our heaviest day yet, so let’s hope we don’t get too much rain and that the batteries of the ebikes will last long enough.
