Yesterday afternoon we discovered Bart’s shifter has lost a screw. I had some spare bolts but they were a bit long. So we started our day with going to a local hardware store to get some spacers.

As soon as we had this fixed, we went to the supermarket:

It was already 10:00 when we started with a 10km ride through the valley in the direction of our next climb. On the way we had a nice view on the mountains of Triglav national park.

Cycled 2.6km, climbed 20m, currently at 511m high.

The climb was not the steepest so we made good progress. As it’s day 6 I did feel that my legs were a lot more tired as normal but we still made good progress. After a while we found a place where we had some coffee and made ourselves some lunch afterwards. Our latest discovery is a paprika spread on bread with some small tomatoes and some salami with it, pretty njammie!

Cycled 23.9km, climbed 930m, currently at 1335m high.

As we have a history of getting to our destination to quickly we made a detour climb to a hotel. It was also a place where biathlon contests are held. We had some drinks and went back on our way.

Cycled 38.1km, climbed 1227m, currently at 1283m high.

When we reached our destination we hoped to find a spot to camp and we asked at an hotel (we saw online that campervans can park in the back) but the guy at the reception told us that camping was totally not allowed, even on private property. So we decided to book a room and we’ll have a proper bed and breakfast!

Tomorrow we’ll go into the direction of Lake Bled but we added some detours to our route so we won’t be too early.

See you tomorrow!
