We started with a busy train ride to Verviers. We had to search for a place on the train as we weren’t the only ones that had the idea to took our bike on the train.

We ascended from Verviers to Lac de la Gileppe. We climbed 300 meters in 10 kilometers. Some parts were pretty steep!

We cycled along the lake on a asphalt road, although the lac looked nice the road wasn’t that interesting.

We continued climbing until we were at Signal de Botrange using lots of long and straight roads. At the highest point we did get rewarded with a nice view.

After this we descended down for around 20 kilometres with some nice roads dispersed in between. There were quite some other people on the road, due to the holiday.

We arrived around 16:30 at the camping and got a good place to set up our tent.

We did get a nice surprise as my parents popped up around the corner out of nowhere! They took a bike trip as well in the neighbourhood and decided to give us a visit. We had a drink together and they drove back home.
